The Pain Store is a two-week-long pop-up bookstore, art installation, and studio activating public urban space in a parking lot at the corner of Minna + Mary in San Francisco’s SOMA District as part of The Common Grounds Festival. This installation will host an evening of short films by local artists, and features a Glitter Nails corner, so you’ll leave feeling both cultured and fabulous.
“The environment is something like an art object in itself, taking cues from spaces like Keith Haring's 80s Pop Shop and Andy Warhol's Factory. The Pain Store takes form as a distorted living space, littered with bright, patterned sculptures displaying books and products.”
